Dolores Gaisford Our Queen

Dolores Elaine Fellows Gaisford passed away from liver cancer on May 7, 20ll. She was born March 27, 1927 to Amos Fellows and Miriam Hipkiss Fellows. Married Owen Barnett Gaisford (Bud) in the Salt Lake Temple March 20, 1947.

Dolores was a proud graduate of South High School.

Dolores served the Lord in many capacities in the LDS Church. With her husband as her companion she served as a missionary in the Johannesburg South Africa/Zimbabwe Mission (1984-85), the Columbus Ohio Mission (2001-02) and she was an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 15 years.

Her family and friends were the highlight of her life. She was a marvelous example of love and service. She has always been the Queen of her home and the love of her husbands life. Many people considered her a second mother or grandmother.

She is survived by her husband and children: Barbara Wright, Sharon Baker (Linn), Craig (Janeen), Jeff (Parker). And grandchildren: Chad (Mandy), Trudy (Mike), Sharayne (Craig), Bryce (Kathleen), Haylie, Nichole (Phil), Allison (Sean), Loni; as well as 13 Great Grandchildren: Our family expresses our love to her many friends, neighbors, and extended family. She has touched so many lives and we will do our best to extend her legacy. We love and cherish her and are grateful to be an eternal family.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Wilf.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12th at 11:00am at Cottonwood Creek Ward, 1250 East 4800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call upon the family Wednesday, May 11th from 6:00-8:00pm at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East. And prior to services Family and friends may visit at the ward from 9:30-10:30 am. Burial at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, following the service.
