Dona, 81, died at her home in Fielding, Utah on June 30, 2014 from a brain tumor. Dona was born in Bountiful, Utah to Robert George Harding and Kathleen Bridger Brooks on April 1, 1933. She grew up in Bountiful and graduated from Bountiful High in 1951. Dona married Jerry Doyle Price on November 21, 1952 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They met at HAFB. Dona and Jerry lived in Bountiful for 23 years and then moved their family to Panguitch, Utah in 1975 where they owned a mini mall and ran a ceramic shop. In 1978, they moved to Springville, Utah. They lived there for 12 years. In their retirement, they lived in Provo, Orem, St. George, Salt Lake City, Utah and Tacoma, Washington. She and Jerry served a Family History Mission and two years in the St. George, Utah Temple. Her husband Jerry died in December 2010 and Dona moved to Schwedelbach, Germany for two years. She moved back to Utah, fell in love again and married her lifelong friend, Lee George Ellis on July 12, 2013. They lived in Fielding, Utah. Dona was an avid puppeteer, newspaper journalist, ceramist and adventurer. With all of Dona’s travels, her favorite place was always at the cabin in Bear Lake.
Dona is survived by her husband Lee and children Debie (Walt) Rosemann, Draper, UT; Jerri (Bruce) Olson, Brigham City, UT; Doni Clement, Herriman, UT; Paul (Shari) Price, Provo, UT; Kelly (Mark) Stevens, Makato, KS; Bobbi Jo (Bob) Bowser, El Paso, TX; Dan (Melinda) Price, Pleasant Grove, UT; 43 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, seven foster Navajo children Wayne Sandoval; Lou Lou(Lemuel) Brown; Tom Benally; Lawrence Davis; Randy Nez; Michael Teller; Viola (Vance) Jones and eight stepchildren Judy (Terry) Hamblin; Pamla (David) Carr, Glenda (Gordon) Archibald, David (Paula) Ellis, Faye (Ralph) Facundo, Daniel (Annette) Ellis; Chay (Cal) Roberts and Melinda (Kevin) Koplin. Dona is also survived by her sister Linda Lott, brother Frank (Margaret) Harding and brother Doug (Linda) Harding. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry D. Price, her grandsons Kade and Cody Rosemann, brother Bob Harding and sister Elaine Ellis.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2 pm at the Russon Brothers Funeral Home on 295 North Main Bountiful. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 12:30-1:45pm. Interment will follow the services at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Dona’s family would love for you to join them in celebrating her life full of love.
