Dona Marie lived a long and beautiful life. Meeting the love of her life at age 14, she started her journey at a very early age. Getting married at 18 years old on July 30, 1948 (sealed in the Boise Idaho temple December 3, 2005) to having her first son that next year. She earned her Associates of Business at the LDS Business College and used that degree throughout her whole life. She worked for many places and had some very fun jobs (Telephone Switch Board operator), but finished by working 15 years at Albertson's. She raised 8 healthy children and ran around with 21 grandchildren. She was one of the last of a generation and everyone knew who Aunt Dona was. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent the last 8 years of her life working at the Bountiful Temple and received her certificate of honorable service 2 days prior to her passing. She spent 12 years serving her eldest son at South Davis Care Center, where she met one of her best friends. With her and her other sweet friend (some of the sisters from the ward) she had herself “the gang” of faithful women, who have lived every moment of their lives to the fullest, some still going very strong. Meeting at least once monthly to see a movie, have lunch, or enjoy all the arts had to offer. They never let a moment pass them by. Dona lived her life by love. She called for every birthday and liked every post on social media. You knew she loved you, because she made sure she told you she loved you. She was a mother, grandmother and friend to all. Thank you Dona Marie for leading your life with faith, hope and love. You are loved.
