Donald Elburn Elliott, 86, died peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Born in Endicott, New York on November 30, 1928, preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Sweet Elliott and Lettie Mildred Beeman, and eight siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bonnie Jean Roach, children Sandy (Kirk) Smith, Steve (MaryLou) Elliott, Dawn Chapman, eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
His family moved to Utah when he was16. He served in the US Army and in the Air Force, a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
He began his career at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft engine mechanic and later in aircraft production control.
Upon retirement he worked in real estate for 13 years in the Bountiful, Utah area.
He was very involved in the beginning of the Bountiful Elks Lodge. He served as an officer for nine years, including Exalted Ruler, Esquire and Leading Knight. He was very proud of the accomplishments that were made during his time with the Elks.
He is a member of the LDS church.
A private service will be held for his immediate family.
We will forever smile at all of his stories he told with much detail!
