Donald Reese Fillmore

Donald Reese “Fritz” Fillmore was born May 30, 1945, in American Fork, Utah. He was the fifth child of Newman C. and Ruby S. Fillmore. He passed away January 29, 2022 at his home in West Jordan, Utah. He grew up in Orem, Utah with a love of the out-of-doors, hunting, fishing, camping and adventure. He was always smiling and had a sense of humor that drew everyone to him. He was always a hard worker and excelled at every task he undertook.
He married Karren Harrison later divorced. He married Layna Young July 21, 1978 in Bountiful, Utah. They had one son, Adrian who became his friend, hunting/fishing buddy and confidant.
He took pride in his yard and always worked on the flowers and yard until his health prevented him from doing so. He enjoyed riding the lawn mower with his bestie Mister Cruger on his lap.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers, sister and Mr. Cruger, his dog.
He is survived by his wife Layna, son Adrian, daughter-in-law Laura and two granddaughters Jolee Skye and Reese Michelle who was born one week after his passing.
The family would like to thank Dr. James E. Pearl for the wonderful care he provided to Fritz and to the rest of the family throughout the years. He admired Dr. Pearl and always had the utmost trust in him.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery.

Masks will be required for all those who attend the funeral and the burial.
