Donald Robert Garramore

April 1, 1958 — February 22, 2019

With great sadness and sorrow, we announce that Donald Robert Garramore, age 60, our beloved and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, February 22, 2019. Donald was born April 1, 1958 in Sterling, Utah. Donald was raised in the Salt Lake City and Bountiful areas and attended Woods Cross High School.

Donald was quiet in a group, but his long red hair and beard made him stand out and be noticed. Liked by all who met him, he had a big heart, a hearty laugh and a sarcastic wit. He loved to tease and had nicknames for everyone.
Donald ventured out early and experienced life with enthusiasm and courage. He had a willful drive and was active and curious in his life. He cared for the family pets and continued to have a strong love for animals throughout his life. He loved time spent visiting Sterling, Utah with his grandparents Oscar and Ann Petersen.
Donald had a strong work ethic and working on cars was a favorite hobby of his. He worked many jobs, primarily as a professional commercial painter and in commercial transportation. Over the last several years he met weekly to have breakfast with his parents and this time spent together will forever be cherished.

Donald is survived by his wife of 27 years, Julie Morton, their daughter Athena Cameron (Koda), whom he adored and cared for in a loving way, children Trent Morton (Brenda)
and Alina Moore (Ryan), parents Don and Lennice Garramore, siblings Greg McKenna (Sherrie), Jannette Toone (Phillip), Cristy Salcedo (Mark), Donna Palmer and Cheryl Wood (Brent) and grandchildren Rylee and Kiyah Moore and Erik Morton. Preceded in death by grandparents David and Thelma Roberts, Charles and Dorothy Wolfe and Oscar and Ann Petersen, aunt Linda Haroun and nephew Rusty Palmer.

We cherish the many fond memories of time spent traveling together as a family to every ghost town in the western United States, swimming in the cool ocean off the Oregon coast and getting together every year for Christmas. We will deeply miss Donald, but take comfort in knowing he was surrounded by the strong love and faith of his family.
A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
