Donald Slagowski

May 22, 1927 — January 11, 2014

January 11th, 2014,an awesome bass singer, joined the heavenly choir. Don was born May 22nd, 1927, the third son of Benjamin E and LaFaun Christensen Slagowski. He grew up in Ogden, UT and Served in the navy during WWII. He met the love of his life, Betty Jean Hoggan, while singing in the summer festival at the U of U. They were married July 28,1950 and sealed later in the SLC Temple.
By trade he was a photo engraver, trained Hypno Therapist and could fix anything! He loved to sing, tell jokes and help others, all of which he did well and shared freely. He served two service missions, one of which was the temple square airport shuttle. He was proud to be the longest serving driver.
He loved his eternal companion, Betty, his family and The Lord.
Survived by his sweetheart, Betty; brothers Louis, Jerry (Janice) Roger (Christine) and sister Janette (Don); 4 daughters: Sherrida (Julian) Deberra (B.J.) Michelle (Irish) and Stephanie( Larry); 15 Grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 18,2014 at the Arlington Hills Chapel, 1300 East Fairfax Rd., SLC, UT., where a viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday morning one hour prior to services. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery.
