Donna Baadsgaard

Donna Jex Baadsgaard, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Layton, UT, on Friday, March 22, 2013. Donna was born on July 26, 1927 to George Walter Jex and Della Irene DeGraw in Spanish Fork, UT. She married Leo Ned Baadsgaard in the Salt Lake Temple on April 14, 1948. They lived in Bear River City and Tremonton, UT, where their son Marinus, and daughter Debbie were born. They moved to their long time home in Garland, UT, in 1955, where they lived until November, 2008, when they moved to Layton, UT, to be closer to family. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ned, her parents, two step mothers Allie Fay Rasmussen and Cora Simmons McKell, three brothers Ron, Bill, and George D., one sister Erma and one step sister, Ann Frisby and one grandson, Dan Michael Anderson. She is survived by their two children, Marinus Baadsgaard (Vicki) of Henderson, NV, Debbie Anderson (Roger) of Layton, UT, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three brothers, Melvin (Payson, UT), Ed (San Francisco, CA) and Sterling (Seattle, WA), one half brother Walter Jex (Springville) and one step sister Joy Nelson (Spanish Fork).
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 10:00 AM at the Layton, UT, Creekside Stake Center, 900 South Flint Street, Layton, UT. Burial will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Viewing will be at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St. (across from Cherry Hill), from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 26, and at 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the church before the Funeral Service.
