Donna Oneta Seely Bright Linford

November 17, 1933 — October 10, 2024

Bountiful, UT

Donna Bright Linford, 90, passed away after a beautiful and wonderful life on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Farmington, Utah.

Donna was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, on November 17, 1933, to Ferry Randolph Seely and Mary Oneta Hansen. She was raised on a small farm in Twin Groves, Idaho, with her three brothers and one sister. She attended a two-room schoolhouse through elementary and then attended South Fremont High School in St. Anthony. She received a scholarship to BYU where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught school from 1955 - 1996. She loved every child in every class she taught.

On June 13,1957, she married Barry H. Bright in the Idaho Falls Temple. They met in high school and dated off and on through their college years. When Barry got home from serving his mission they knew it was the real thing! Together they had three children, Beki, Tai and Trent. Later, 16 years after Barry passed away, at the age of 76, Donna married Golden Charles Linford. They had three good years together when Golden also passed away.

Donna was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved taking religion classes throughout her life. She listened to the Book of Mormon on cassette tapes over and over. She served in many callings in the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary. She enjoyed each calling and made many dear friends by serving together. She was a fantastic minister and truly loved all those she served. Donna enjoyed being an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple for many years. As a senior sister she served a mission to the Texas San Antonio mission with her dear sister Norma as her companion!

Donna's greatest gift, greatest talent, and favorite pastime, was people! She loved being with friends, teaching children, visiting neighbors and most of all being with her family. She was a mother beyond measure, a grandmother who connected on a special level with each grandchild, created lasting memories with great-grandchildren and even has the reputation of being the best Mother-in-law there ever could be! Each person in her posterity feels loved and like they are very special to her. And they are!

Donna is survived by her daughter Beki (Mark) Alder, son Tai (Vickie) Bright; 8 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and brothers Sylvan (Gail) Seely, and Clyde (Linda) Seely. She was preceded in death by her husband Barry, and husband Golden, son Trent Barry Bright, brother Dean Seely and sister Norma Gneiting.
