Donna Lynn Hall

Donna Lynn Hall (Poage) died after a brief illness on August 26, 2021. She was born in Olympia, Washington on July 4, l953 and thought the fireworks were just for her. She was the valedictorian of her high school class and earned a full scholarship to the University of Wyoming, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing in l975. With other grants and awards, she left the university with enough savings for a down payment on a brand new car. She worked for many years in Cardiac Intensive Care and earned a Master’s Degree of Nursing from the University of Utah in 1985. Her focus shifted from direct care to education and training. She taught nursing at the college level and had a long career with Intermountain Healthcare, where she retired as a Nurse Educator in 2013.
She married John Hall in 1979. They were later divorced. Donna was a loving and devoted mother with a beautiful smile and big heart. She loved camping, her pets and spending time with her friends and family. She decorated and donated trees to the Festival of Trees for many years. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and a Jobs Daughters Bethel Guardian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Lynn Poage and Laura Hecox Poage. She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Hillman and Lisa Hall and her brother, Joe Poage. Donna will be returned to the family homestead in Kendall, Wyoming next year.
Please come to a remembrance of Donna at Russon Mortuary and Crematory, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, UT on Tuesday, September,14th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to Heifer International at www.heifer.org, a charity she often donated to.
