Donna Mitchell Rapp
1920 – 2014

BOUNTIFUL, UT-Donna Mitchell Rapp, 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. She was born April 26, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde Milo and Lorina Othinger Mitchell. Donna grew up in Salt Lake and graduated from East High School. After the death of her father, Donna converted to the LDS church. She met the love of her life, Buzz Rapp while he was home on leave during WWII. She married him in his Naval Officer Uniform and after Buzz joined the church, they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Donna was an active member of the Church and served in the Primary Organization teaching 3 year olds for over 30 years. Many young lives were touched by hers. Over the years, Donna sometimes worked outside of the home. She was employed by Mountain Fuel, Litton Industries and Hammond Toys. The love of her service was always with children.
She is survived by her three children: Gaylene (David) Roderick, Clinton, David (Judy) Rapp, West Bountiful, and Paul (Michelle) Rapp, Bountiful; as well as 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clyde Mitchell, Murray.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Orchard Stake Center, 3599 South Orchard Drive, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
