Donnie "Troy" Dudley, aged 53, passed away at home March 30, 2019 . Troy was born March 8, 1966, in Rock Springs Wyoming, to loving parents Donald Keith Dudley and Bonnie Jo Campbell. Troy lived the majority of his life in wonderment of his father, who heroically gave his life during the Vietnam war, when Troy was only 2 years old. When Troy was still a young boy his mother remarried Homer Hall. Throughout his life he was taught the value of hard work. At one point, his family along with 2 others chopped trees then proceeded to build their homes in Syracuse. He attended Clearfield High class 84'. Troy married Brandi Lee Rodeback July 17, 2004 in Farmington Utah. They were sealed for all time and eternity May 19, 2012 at the Salt Lake Temple. He was a proud father of 4 children Tyson, Christopher, Amanda Dudley, and step-daughter Destiny Lassalle.
He had great appreciation for vehicles & motorcycles. As a young child he would take things apart and put them back together again. Much of his life was spent as an Automotive Mechanic.
He enjoyed his time with Weber County Search and Rescue where he also received EMT Training. Later, he and Brandi went on to receive their "CERT" certification. He had a passion that drove him to help others and of being prepared.
He also flourished a deep passion for woodworking early in his retirement and chose to share his work with those close to him by crafting artisan-quality pens and oil vials. He received extra enjoyment when teaching the craft to others especially his wife, children and other family members. He had an eye for Photography and enjoyed the times he could get out and take beautiful photos.
On their 10th Anniversary Brandi surprised him with a Motorcycle that they truly enjoyed together. He and Destiny took many awesome rides together as well. During some of life's challenges, hitting the road on his motorcycle would bring an inner-peace to his heart.
Although Troy had a bit of a rebel heart, his faith was a very important part of his life… Troy was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was baptized March 30 1974 and confirmed March 31 1974. As a young man his rebel side got the best of him and he lost his way from time to time. After several years of struggling, together, with his wife Brandi, they found their way to balancing the rebel side with the spiritual. He truly then began to enjoy life and grow closer to the Lord.
He had many church callings. One of his favorites was serving as a counselor in the Elders Quorum. Troy was so proud when he was Ordained a High Priest August 3, 2014 He served in the Bountiful Utah Temple for 6 years before his Mission Call as a Guest Service Missionary at Temple Square events where he enjoyed serving side by side with Brandi..
Troy had a genuine love for people and serving them whenever and however he could. He was a great example in how the Lord would want us all to live, love and serve others.
He is Loved by so many!
