Doris J. Schramm

March 17, 1933 — June 9, 2017

Doris J. Schramm passed away June 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 84.

She was born to Elmer H. and Clara Annie Parker on March 17th, 1933 in Helper Utah. She is survived by her son, David G. Schramm; her daughter, Meredith Schramm Mannebach (Steve Mannebach); 2 grandsons, Atticus and Pj; her sister Lois (Ted) Abeyta; sister Marion (Julian) Raulston; and brother James Rulon (Linda) Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the Schramm and Parker families. In her heavenly home she joins her husband, Clarence F. Schramm and daughter, Melanee Schramm Kearns, her parents, her brother Robert Parker, and granddaughter Elsie Mannebach and many cherished friends.

Doris lived her life in service to the Lord, her husband and children and her fellowman. She was the first female to serve a full-time LDS mission from her Helper Ward. She served other full and part-time missions including a full-time CES mission with her beloved eternal companion in Boston, Massachusetts. She served many years as a worker in the Bountiful temple.

She met Clarence F. Schramm in 1961 and it was love at first sight, they were married soon after in the Manti temple. They lived a very full and blessed life together with three children. Doris was creative, talented in making a house a home, quick witted, always the consummate lady and could make a friend anywhere she went. In the past few months she would always say she just wanted to go home and “Home” was with her sweetheart Clarence. We will miss you deeply mom!

Viewing will be Friday June 16th 6-8pm and Saturday June 17th 9:30 – 10:30 prior to funeral services, at 24 S. Country Lane, Country Lane Chapel in Fruit Heights, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 17th starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Country Lane Chapel, Fruit Heights, UT.
