Dorothy Nielsen

Dorothy C. Nielsen, age 87, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah. Born August 25, 1918 in Pima, Arizona, the daughter of Hyrum Wesley and Elizabeth Jane Lamb Crockett. Married H. Eugene Nielsen June 26, 1940 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Dorothy?s life was devoted to her family and church. She served 4 missions, one before marriage and three with her husband. She was also an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for many years. She loved people and always put others first. Survived by her husband of 65 years; her 7 children: Mariet Lynn Greenwood, Alpine; Arlene Lee Fry, West Valley; Howard Janet, Henderson, NV; Linda Tony Johnson, Helena, MT; Mark Lyn, Green Bay, WI; Margaret Quinn Carroll, Midland, TX; Julie John Dennis, Bountiful; 43 grandchildren and 90 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Osmer Crockett, Elmo Crockett, Irene Angle, and Doris Montierth. Preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 37th Ward Chapel, 1540 North 400 East. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
