Dorothy Wilson

November 22, 1930 — March 8, 2012

Dorothy Jean Fairall Wilson was born in Los Angeles, California, November 22, 1930 and passed away March 8, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah, after battling rheumatoid arthritis for many years. Dorothy was the daughter of Harry and Alice Scott Fairall, Jr. She married Billie Dale Froyd on May 28, 1955. Later divorced. She married Ralph Fackrell Wilson on August 16, 1974 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. To Dorothy’s great disappointment, Ralph died August 25, 1977. After a few years Dorothy then married Takeo Endo on July 16, 1981.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She especially loved teaching the children for many years, most particularly “her” Sunbeams. As a testament to her love for children, she and her family fostered 8 children while living in Las Vegas. She had an abiding testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. She loved her family very much and appreciated their love and help.
Dorothy lived in California, Nevada and Utah. She worked as a telephone operator and PBX Supervisor at several of the big hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her special talents included oil painting, needle work, arts and crafts, and writing poems and children’s stories.
Dorothy is survived by sons, Richard K. (Margaret) Froyd and Brad T. Froyd; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Thelma (E.H.) Denton, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her parents, her brother, Richard Fairall and two sons, Kenneth Steven Froyd and Ronald Scott Froyd.
The family expresses much appreciation and thanks to Rocky Mountain Care-Clearfield, Avalon Care Center- Bountiful, and to Britol Hospice and their staffs, including Lisa, Kevin, Carla and “Mrs. B” who provided excellent, constant and kind care for their mother these past months.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the West Bountiful 1st Ward, 311 No. 800 West, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
