Douglas Bangerter

Our beloved father, husband, brother, and son passed away at the Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, February 16, 2013 after a massive heart attack. Born August 4, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to V. Brent and Nelda M. Bangerter. Graduated from Viewmont High School and served a mission in the England Bristol Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After completing his education at Weber State College, he began working as a mechanic for Gold Cross Ambulance Service where he was employed for 22 years. Married Becky Amberboy for time and eternity September 6, 1989 in the Salt lake LDS Temple and they made their home in the Centerville Reading Ward. They have four children, daughter Bobbi and three sons, Quinton Dean (currently serving in the Canada Montreal Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), Tanner Scott and Cooper Douglas. His joy was his family and befriending all whom he met. Like his grandfather, he could fix anything mechanical and it was unusual to not find someone’s snowmobile, motorcycle, lawnmower, etc. undergoing repair in his garage. His own children and all young people were special to him. He loved his teaching assignments in Church and his work in scouting. His cooking was renowned at scout camp. His never failing happy countenance will be missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his parents, wife and children he is survived by brothers, Kevin, Kelly (MaryLou) and sister Cindy (Gary) Harp.
A heartfelt thank you from family members to Gold Cross Ambulance and the skilled ICU staffs at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and Intermountain Medical Center.
Viewings will be held Monday, February 18, 6 to 8 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, UT and Tuesday, February 19 from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the funeral services at 11 am in the Bountiful 16th Ward LDS Chapel, 720 East 550 North where he grew up. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
