Douglas Graham Garner was born in San Francisco, California on January 27th 1931 to Orville and Thelma Garner. He died July 10th in Bountiful. He served as a Marine in the Korean War between 1948-1951 and was a Master Sergeant. Doug was a Communication Supervisor and gained the title of Master Marksman. Doug received a Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He married Audrey Thompson on October 8th 1949 in Salt Lake City. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They moved to Bountiful in 1956 and still reside in their original home. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to duck hunt. He belonged to the Ambassador Duck Club for over 50 years. He was the oldest member out there still hunting. He worked for Porter Walton Company for 35 years as their top salesman. He took great pride in his yard and supplied the entire family with lots of vegetables. He owned his own plane and used it for work and many wonderful trips with the family. He instilled a wandering lust in his whole family which has trickled down to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife and family have done over 25 cruises and have seen this world from one end to the other. He lived his life for his family and all of his concerns were about them. He was a quiet man with few words but such a great listener. He is survived by Audrey, his wife of 65 years, daughters Debra (Mark Blaisdell), Gale (Jerry Allman), Janice (Rick Reid), 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and 1 grandson – Scott Reid. He will be greatly missed and has left a large whole in our hearts. A graveside will be held Friday July 15, at 1:00pm at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah
