Dustin John Ringel had a full life. Dustin was a unique, and a one-of-a-kind person that made a lasting impact on many people’s life.
Dustin was born on June 15, 1974 in Ogden, Utah he was the 4th child and 2nd twin of Chris and Kay Ringel. He grew up in Layton, Utah, and attended Layton High School where he was proud to be a Lancer.
Dustin met the love of his life Stephanie on June 2, 1995. He once said very early on, in their relationship he wanted to marry Stephanie. He knew she was the one for him and he could not imagine spending his life with anyone else. They were married on November 1, 1996. They were a team from the very beginning and complemented each other nicely. It was very obvious that they were meant to be together, since they were each other’s, other half. Dustin and Stephanie were extremely fortunate to have 2 amazing boys Matthew and Logan. Dustin loved to spend time with his family and frequently would teach the boys skills that they would need later in life. He was a particularly good example of how a father and husband should be. Family always came first, he tried to make sure everyone around him felt important and needed, he had a gift of making people smile.
Dustin had a love of Star Wars. He often took Matt and Logan shopping with him while he was hunting for collectables. He was often found wearing Star Wars clothing from head to toe. He had an impressive collection of Star Wars items and enjoyed showing friends and family his collection. He had purchased many items before his untimely death that are now starting to be delivered to his home. This feels like little gifts from Dustin, Matt and Logan are able to see what their father had ordered and was so excited about.
Dustin is lovingly remembered by his parents Chris and Kay Ringel, brother Brett Smith, sister Lisa Smith, brother Brady (Cassie) Ringel, brother Travis (Venessa) Ringel, and many other family members such aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center ICU for the amazing care and kindness to Dustin. There were many staff members that were concerned about his welfare, and the welfare of his family. This meant the world to the family that the staff would treat him with so much kindness, as he done to others.
