Earl Dean Ihler

I knew one day I would have to face a world without my Dad and I knew my heart would break. Earl Dean Ihler was born in Southern Utah in Emery County on April 5th 1928 to Gunnar and Orpha Ihler the baby of 5 living children. He was always so handsome. He was a bit wild and went into the Navy when he was 15. He met and married Bonnie Slaymaker twice, the first time on November 22 1947 and then again in the 70's. He managed grocery stores all over California and Utah and was always known as the fixer. People loved Dad and always wanted to do a good job for him. He became a father in 1958 and was the BEST Dad. He was also a favorite Uncle to all his nieces and nephews and a loved brother to his brothers and sisters that have preceded him in death. Dad was lost after Mom died but he continued to be an amazing grandfather ( which was the highlight of his life) and a great-grandfather to Hayden, who made him glow when he saw or spoke of her. We all loved my Dad and I know we will miss him with all of our hearts

A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah
