Lovingly raised by uncle, aunt and cousins. After graduating from Payson High School, she moved to Salt Lake City to nanny and worked various other jobs including one at the Remington Arms Utah Ordnance Plant during World War II. Reconnected with high school friend Robert Darrell Bills after the war and they fell in love and were married on January 3, 1948; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1964. They made their home in Bountiful where they raised their children.
Edith enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, sewing, puzzles and her handiwork, cooking and baking were relished. She made fond memories with her family on many trips to Disneyland and passed on an appreciation for nature in Yellowstone, the Tetons and the family-built cabin near the Uintas.
