Edna Jackson

November 1, 1912 — January 19, 2014

Edna H. Jackson our precious and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great-grandmother, passed away on January 19, 2014 at the age of 101. She will truly be missed by her family and friends and will be remembered for her unconditional love. Edna was born on November 1st, 1912 to Violet and John Harrison in Salt lake City, Utah. She married Marvin M. Jackson on September 19, 1930. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the Bountiful 58th ward. Edna loved the Church and served in many callings. She enjoyed singing with the singing Mothers in her ward. She often spoke about the time they were able to go to Stake Conference and sing. She had a beautiful voice. She was an excellent wife, mother and homemaker. She taught her children well, how to work, clean and cook. Edna and Marvin loved to travel, go fishing and spend time with their family. They supported grandchildren on their missions, in sports and educational endeavors. Edna is survived by her children Maurine Willey, Bountiful, Deon (Ralph) Hatch, Centerville, and Tamra Schlutz, Evanston, Wyoming; brother Dean (Rita) Harrison, Bountiful; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, a son Stephen H. Jackson, daughter Patricia, parents and brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held 12:00 -12 :45 p.m. prior to services. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
