Edward Stark Wilson was born on April 13, 1938, in Portola, California, to Samuel Carl Wilson and Gladys Stark, and died at his home with his best friend and wife, Linda, by his side on December 22, 2010. As a young man Ed served his country in the National Guard. Ed owned and operated his own dental lab for 50 years before retiring in 2006. Ed loved boating, freelance photography, motorcycles, the deer hunt with his boys, the turkey hunt with Nortie, and his Rhino he got when he retired. The only shots Ed took were with his camera. Ed and Linda were married on October 3, 1981. Their common love of nature took them many places to photograph wildlife. Yellowstone always felt like home, and Strawberry was their second home, until Ed was diagnosed with cancer this past spring. He faced his challenge head on with determination and hope. Ed will make his final trip to Yellowstone this coming spring where he can be seen in the mighty pines and heard in the rustling quakies forever.
Ed is survived by sons Brent (Sherrie), Mark (Mari), Darren, and daughter, Jennifer (Marshall). Proud to call him step-dad is Denese (Scott), Julie (Jon), and Allen (Jennifer). Sisters Gerry, Joanna (Monty), Carlene (Tom), and many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren David (Jenni), Trever, Braxton, Cara (Braiden), Danielle, Jamie (Levi), Alisha (Zac), Steven, Stephen, Ashlee (Matt), Amanda, Maegan (Jake), Christopher (Christina), Colton. Great-grandchildren Kate, Justin, Logan, Aiden, Bryson, Blake. Ed was a very good friend to so many people, and they know who they are.
Special thanks to Dr. Klein and staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. Sause and staff at the Huntsman Center at Intermountain Medical. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eds name to the Wolf Recovery Foundation. Friends and family may call on Linda at her home.
