Edwin Delinger

Moline, IL- Edwin John Delinger, 72, of Moline, formerly of Salt Lake City, UT, was reunited with the love of his life Thursday, January 8th, 2015 at Rosewood Care facilities.

He was born January 12th, 1942 in Davenport, IA to Ralph and Mary Connelly Delinger. Ed married Joanna Dutton on May 16, 1998. Ed was employed by Aupha as a lab carrier. He was a member of Latter Day Saints Church in East Moline and Salt Lake City. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, serving his church, bowling and dancing. He is survived by his daughters, Tina (Scott) Wiebel, Durant, IA; Kay Jones, Bettendorf, IA; son Christopher (Tracey) Delinger, Moline, IL; Angelica Copperfield, Lisa McClay, six grandchildren, Amy Brown, Alexandria Wiebel, Alysa and Kelsey Jones; Aiyanna and Tyler Delinger, one great-grandchild; Xavyer Boone, four sisters, Pat Wilsey, Catherine Schmeisser, Linda Bundy and Marilyn (Dave) McAninch ; and two brothers, Leo (Gloria) Delinger, and Jerry Delinger.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2009, his parents, and his brother, Donald Delinger, Brother-in-Law Clyde Wisey Sr. and Paul Schmeisser, Sister-in-Law Billie Delinger.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16th, 2015 at the Kimball Ward, 2280 S. 300 E., in Salt Lake City. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 15th, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. 200 E., SLC, and 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the ward.
