Elaine Anderson Ravsten

February 9, 1928 — June 15, 2018

Elaine Anderson Ravsten, 90, of Brigham City, Utah died June 15, 2018.  She was born February 9, 1928 in Elwood, Utah to Verl and Nellie Anderson.  The family later moved to Garland.  She attended Bear River High School and Utah State University graduating in Elementary Education.  Elaine taught school for many years in Washington and Utah.   She was greatly loved and respected by all those she taught and worked with.  Many students were grateful for the privilege of being in her class.
Elaine loved horses and was somewhat of a tomboy.  Served numerous church callings and always willing to help with any assignment.  Loved her chocolate and a little bit of sweet up until near the end.
Elaine married Lee Ravsten April 8, 1951.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.  Lee proceeded her in death.  On May 16, 2008, at the age of 80, Elaine married Jay Lang, a longtime family friend.  He also preceded her in death. She was known by all as caring, loving, and independent, always concerned with other's needs.  
Elaine lived in Seattle, Rose Park, Bountiful and recently in Brigham City.  
She was preceded in death by Lee and Jay, her parents, three brothers, Grant, Glenn, and Richard and one sister, Wilma.  She is survived by one brother; Don (Shirleen) of Garland, one sister; Carol (Jack) Spackman of Park Valley and one sister in-law, Barbara Beebe of Cedar Hills, Utah.  She is also survived by Reid Callister whom she considered her adopted son and Jay's children; Doug (Debbie) Lang, Susan (Kevin) Broihier, and Tim Lang and their families.  Aunt Elaine will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and grand/great nieces and nephews, all who adored her because of her infectious love for all.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Clarkston, Utah cemetery with a Visitation on Tuesday, June 19 from 6-8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, Elaine requested donations be made to the LDS Church General Mission Fund.
