Elaine Bartlett Nelson 1923-2011

Our dear sweet mom passed away peacefully Sunday morning December 11, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 24, 1923 to Howard C. & Ruth Lutz Bartlett in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married James L. Nelson on March 19, 1948 in Elko, NV. She worked various jobs throughout her life including Ogden Defense Depot, Fort Douglas and Brown Floral. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, where she had many good friends. Her joy in life was spending quality time with her family. She is survived by her 5 children Bart (Diane), Dan (Jewel), Lynne Harmon (Kirk), Mary Jo Collins (Randy), Sue Hardman (Scott), her sister Jane Gustaveson, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather Herman and her Sister Joanne. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1350 East 500 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and prior to services at the Mortuary from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Online guest book available at www.russonmortuary.com
