Elaine W. Burnham

Bountiful, UT – Our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elaine W. Burnham passed away on June 6, 2018, at the age of 97. Elaine was born in Ogden, UT to Lorenzo C. and Reta E. Williamsen. She was the second child and eldest daughter of six children. She grew up in Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School, then later received a business degree from Weber State College. She started working for the family business at Williamsen Truck Equipment and later moved to San Francisco for a few years to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. Elaine was married to Robert O. Burnham on March 18, 1957, in Ogden, Utah. She then moved to Burley, Idaho to be with her husband where he owned and operated Mini-Cassia Equipment Company where she acted as the chief bookkeeper and helped with the store for 19 years.  While they lived in Burley they were blessed with two children Bobby & Perri. Their next adventure was owning & operating a family farm in Eureka, Nevada where she resided from 1976 to 2014.For the last several years of her life she resided @ the Inn on Barton Creek in Bountiful, Utah
Elaine had a passion for her yard. She loved her flowers, plants and had a very green thumb. She was an avid reader and Jeopardy fan. She and Bobby enjoyed watching the news and participating in long conversations about politics and history. She enjoyed cooking and always had something on hand when there was a need for a good meal. She loved to do needlepoint, sew and make little doll clothes for her daughter and granddaughters. She had a passion for music and classical movies. On many occasions she and her daughter Perri vacationed and shopped together which she loved to do.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert, along with her parents, brothers Clair and Ensign, and sister, Joanne.
She is survived by her children, son, Robert E. (Carol) Burnham – Eureka, NV and daughter, Perri Burnham – Layton, Ut; siblings, Larry (Shirley) Williamsen- SLC, Ut, Carol Anderson-West Valley City, Ut; grandchildren, Kristen (Aaron) Wilson of Spring Creek, NV., Katie (Dan) Young – Austin, NV, Heather (Rick) Wollenzien-Las Vegas, NV and Jared (Asenath) Burnham-West Jordan, UT, and 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved to watch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 11th, 2018 at the Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful, Ut 84010, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 am prior to services. Graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery located @ 1342 East 5th South, Salt Lake City, Ut. immediately following services.
