Elbert Eldredge

Biography

Our talented, bright and singular Eb was born a Valentine baby February 14th, 1926 to Elbert Hatch and Eva Mae Eldredge in Bountiful, Utah.
Passed away peacefully October 26th 2014.
Raised in Butte, Montana and Bountiful, Utah, he graduated Davis High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was a radioman on the U.S.S. Tippecanoe. While serving in the Eastern States L.D.S. Mission, he met his sweetheart and future wife, Jane L. Erdman, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple February 18th, 1949. Their marriage was blessed by the birth of two daughters, Sharla Jane and Linda Kay.
Retired from Civil Service, Hill Air Force Base. Eb led an interesting and varied life, all roads leading at last to a love of his Savior, Jesus Christ and expression of this love through dedicated service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Eb had a special love of the temple and was proud to have visited 36 temples! An avid genealogist, he served his family well in this endeavor.
Eb loved Root-Beer, Ice-Cream, Red Vines, fishing and family! He will be remembered as a gifted pianist and avid reader.
Survived by: daughter Linda Thomson and grandsons David (Sunshine), and Scott; son-in-law Jerry Luker (Lynn) and grandchildren Darlene (Roger) Young, Marilyn (Gary) Smith, John (Michelle) Luker, and Joy (Michael) St. Laurent; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Lynn M. (Marilyn) Eldredge, James A. (Nancy) Eldredge;
sisters Mallie Teasdale, Beth Merrill and Debbie Page. Preceded in death by darling wife, Jane and sweet daughter, Sharla Luker, also by sister, LeaRae Lindsey.
Eb would want to thank his beloved sister, Beth, for her tender care and endless laughter!

A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Interment at the Centerville City Cemetery.
