Eleanor Lombardi Wacker ?Nora?
Farmington- Eleanor Lombardi Wacker ?Nora?, passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, of natural causes, at the age of 92. She was born January 5, 1914 to Carmine Lombardi and Raffaela Mary Maddalena, she was the eighth of eleven children. Married Harold Carlyle Wacker on Aug. 20, 1942, in Elko, Nevada. She loved music, mainly classical ballads and light operas. Being of Italian descent she enjoyed doing some arias in Italian. During WWII she sang for the servicemen stationed at Ft. Douglas and at the LDS Welfare Square in Salt Lake City. She sang with the Keynotes Ladies Chorus for 5 years and was President in 1962 and 1963. She also taught piano and vocal lessons from her home. She ran the local Mountain Fuel Supply business office in Magna for 13 years and the Morgan office for 7 years before retiring in 1972. In 1995, a year after the death of her husband, she moved to her sons home in Farmington. Survived by her son Carlyle Pam, grandchildren: Nicole Scott Collett, Samuel Darcy and Wendi; three great-grandchildren, brother: Arnold Lombardi, loving friend Rennie Wright and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Harold, seven brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, 4400 West 4100 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 11:00-11:45 am at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main.
