Elizabeth Eames Moore

June 22, 1937 — June 23, 2022

Elizabeth Eames Moore was called to her heavenly home on Thursday June 23, 2022. She fought valiantly with cancer for 10 years. She passed away a day after celebrating her 85th birthday, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on June 22, 1937, in Salt Lake City to Sarah Estella Richardson and David Ivo Eames. Liz grew up in the Avenues of Salt Lake City, where she graduated from West High School. She then attended BYU where she met Bruce Jay Moore. They were married soon after on May 9, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple. Being a full-time mother and raising her six children was her priority and greatest joy. She shared her love of reading with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Liz was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was a member of the original West Bountiful 1st ward. She served in a long list of callings and did so with a very happy heart.

Grandchildren, photo albums, gardening, and cats were a few things Liz enjoyed. If she had a photo of you, you can be sure it made it into one of her many photo albums. She had a gift for making things beautiful, especially her yard. She loved caring for cats, both those that were hers as well as the ones she rescued.

Liz was a true friend who was always there for everyone. She had a calm and loving way about her that we will always remember.

Preceded in death by her husband Bruce Jay Moore, granddaughter Raychal Elizabeth Oby, and her brother David Eric Eames.

Survived by her six children, Lisa (Greg) Bryson, Centerville; Brian (Ann) Moore, West Bountiful; Michael (Annette) Moore, West Bountiful; Shawn (Holly) Moore, Centerville; Amy (Kyle) Oby, Missouri; David (Makele) Moore, Layton. As well as 28 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren, and her sister Carolyn (Ken) Bullock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the West Bountiful 1st Ward, 311 North 800 West, West Bountiful, Utah.  A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah and Thursday morning from 9:45am-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.  Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery.
