Elting Gray Jr.

Elting Gray Jr. passed away December 21, 2018 at the North Canyon Care Center, Bountiful, Utah, at the age of 96. He was born January 3, 1922 in Ashokan, New York. He joined the Army in World War II and served 3 years. He married Juanita Conger and they had 4 children. He built a house in Ashokan. They moved to Utah in 1963. He married Ellen Mae Chryst Heaton in 1973. Elting and Ellen built a house in Moroni, Utah. Elting played the harmonica and Ellen played the mountain dulcimer. They entertained people both together and with the Old Time Fiddlers for 12 years. Elting was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has done much family history and temple work for his family. Elting and Ellen served a two-year mission for the Church in Manti, Utah Temple Visitors Center. While living in the Care Center Elting was still playing for people. He is survived by his brother Robert, wife Ellen, his children Nancy, Wayne, Larry, Dennis and their spouses and children.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.
