PINE, ID/BOUNTIFUL, UT – Jex passed away unexpectedly the morning of June 12th. He was an entrepreneur, someone you could count on, worked hard, and was a very generous man. He also liked to have creases ironed into his jeans and to look nice no matter where he was going.
He attended Bountiful and Davis High School and served in the Navy for 4 years. He graduated from Utah State University and wrote technical manuals for the government.
Jex was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. He met the love of his life, Jeannine at the Bowling Alley and married her November 25, 1964. One of the most darling couples you will ever meet. He owned “The Fifth Amendment” in Bountiful for 42 years, before retiring in Pine, ID where he made many new friends.
Left to honor Jex and remember his love are his loving wife and their six children, Chris (Rachelle) Allred, and Scott (Geri) Allred, Rodney Hepworth, Brad (Vicki) Hepworth, Brett (Johneane) Hepworth, Tracy (Mike) Holley; Grandchildren, Dillon, Lloyd, Laura, Bryan, Zachery, Sam; Zachary, Ashley; Britten Jex, Rachel; Kortney, Paige, Meagan, M’Kayla, Michael, Marshall, and Molly; RJ, Chance, Canyon, Skyler, Jaden, Jonathon; Eric, Kayden, Taylor and many Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at Russon Mortuary located 295 North Main Street in Bountiful, UT, with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:45 prior to the service. The dedication of the grave will follow from 12:15 – 12:30 pm at Lakeview Cemetery. A celebration will follow for those interested in joining the family at “The Fifth” in Bountiful.
