Eric B Malone

January 19, 1982 — May 18, 2021

Eric was born in Bountiful Utah, but he was always a restless soul, wanting to see more of this world. He traveled to Europe, around the United States, even tried to find someone to take him into a Hurricane. He probably would be living anywhere else, but a little girl came into his life on January 1, 2011 and settled him down, his daughter; Addison owned his heart.

A love of nature, exploring, and animals was developed early on in Eric’s life. He was a scout, a scout that kept learning and developing into an Eagle Scout. The scout never left Eric. He was a true nature and animal lover. Eric’s life reflected his beliefs. He built organic gardens and gave lizards, tortoises, and all types of dogs a wonderful place to call home. Eric had many loves; he loved art and was extremely talented when it came to building, creating, and visualizing. As he did before, he followed his heart and graduated from Weber State University with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication.

Eric loved action. Whether it was watching the Jazz play or racing down the powdered snow slopes of mountains, he was not going to stand still. Free time was spent hiking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and anything else that would allow him to be out in nature. His favorite way to spend his time though, was of course with the most special person in his life, his daughter, Addison. Together the two of them would hike the trails, rollerblade, and watch movies together. She always put a smile on his face; a smile that only a daughter could bring.

Eric is survived by his beautiful daughter, Addison Beverly, his father and mother David and Linda Malone, two sisters Emilee Ferrin (Josh), Kristin Silva (Emmanuel), three Silva nephews, Evan, Ethan, and Elliott, and his special dog Daphne. He was proceeded in death by his brother, David Charles.

A celebration of life was held Saturday May 22, going to special places he and Addison loved to go (planned by Addison – age 10)

Eric died of congestive heart failure of unknown origin. He fought to stay with Addi…but…his best lives on in her, and he will never be far from her.
