Erin Behunin

Erin Behunin, 39, passed away of ongoing health complications on Monday, January 14th, 2019.  She was born on May 6th, 1979 to Megan McGarry Johnson and Trenton Behunin in Bountiful, Utah.

Erin was a wonderful mother to three beautiful children. As a single mom she defined the term grit; She would do anything to ensure her babies were taken care of. She loved all three immensely and will no doubt continue to guide them. Her family would like to extend a very special thank you to all those who have helped Erin raise the children over the years. It takes a village and she never could have done it without your love and support.

One of Erin’s greatest gifts was her ability to forge friendships with people from all walks of life. She valued people based on their loyalty, honesty, and kindness. What was on the outside always took a backseat to the aforementioned. But, if we’re being completely honest, Erin also loved a good smartass. She herself honed the trait quite nicely at a young age. We wouldn’t have it any other way.  

 Most of Erin’s working life was spent in real estate. She was passionate about the field and carved out a career that spanned over two decades. Her gregarious personality and take-charge attitude made her a natural for the job. When Erin had a bit of free time, she loved putting on a bit of R&B and relaxing in a tub of bubbles or cooking up some fancy mac and cheese. Simple pleasures were often more than enough.

Erin is survived by her three children: Korbin Durham, Keyonna Anderson, and Braxtyn Anderson; Mother and Father: Megan McGarry Johnson and Trenton Behunin; Step-Father: Kim Johnson; Siblings: Jaden Johnson, Jessica Preece Johnson, Chaunsey Johnson, and Levi, Olivia, Samuel, Dallin, Sara, and Devona Behunin; Cousins: Ryan Gibbs and Coby Hartwell; Aunt: Laurie McGarry.

Funeral service and viewing will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Russon Mortuary, 295 no. Main, Bountiful. Viewing starts at 10:30 am and funeral at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to help with the care of Erin’s two youngest children. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
