Erma Payne Bills

Bountiful Erma Ester Payne Bills passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 9, 1932 in Trenton, Utah to Hyrum F. and Sylvia Mae Smith Payne. Erma married Harold R. Bills, Jr. on February 22, 1954 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 9, 1961. They had three children, Erma Naone, Harold Douglas, and David Jay. They have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Erma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served three missions with her husband: Oakland, CA; New York City, NY; and the Salt Lake Family History Center. Erma loved spending time with her family and had a passion for art, shopping and bears. She traveled the world with her husband out of love, but preferred spending time at home with her family. Survived by her two sons Harold Douglas (Shanna) Bills of Bountiful, UT and David Jay (Tammy) Bills of Lake Oswego, OR; brother, Jay (Joyce) Payne of Layton, UT; sister, Shirley (Larry) Blanchard of Hooper, UT; sister-in-laws, Gay Payne and Carolyn Payne of Layton, UT; Mable Hardy of Vernal, UT; Joy Brewster of St. George, UT; Bonnie (Les) Knudsen of Pingree, ID; brother-in-law Don Cunningham of Fruit Heights, UT; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and parents; daughter, Naone Warren; granddaughter, Wendy Warren; brothers, Ray Payne and Gilbert Payne; sisters, Ida Gross and Erna Ellen Cunningham; brother-in-laws, Robert Brewster, Terrel Bills, Alexander Bills, Bill Hone, and Eldon Perkins; sister-in-laws, Marjorie Hone and Monna Perkins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at noon at the Bountiful East Stake Center, 2150 South 650 East, Bountiful, UT. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning 11:00 11:45 A.M. at the church prior to the services.
