Eva Barton

Eva Geraldine Hamblin Barton, our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away 9/3/11, surrounded by her loved ones. She will be dearly missed. Gerry was born 6/16/1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Lowell and Elizabeth Hardy Hamblin. She graduated from Davis High School in 1956. Gerry and her husband, John, were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 28′ 1956. Gerry was an independent spirit, loved music, the Jazz, and was insanely hooked on QVC and other home shopping networks. She was a good, kind lady, and after the death of her husband in 1995, she lived quietly, independently, and at peace. Gerry is survived by her 5 children: Doug Barton; Julie Kerr (Gary); Gary (Chris) Barton; Jeff (Corri) Barton; and Jennifer Warford; twelve grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, brother Lamar Hamblin; sisters Joann (Darrell) Jones; Joyce (Ronald) Brooks. The family wishes to express special thanks to Steve and Vicky Hoth and family for their friendship and many acts of love. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents; her sister,Gail and brother Dennis Hamblin. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Centerville Stake Center, 950 N. Main, Centerville, Utah. Friends may call at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Gone from our sight, But never our memories… Gone from our touch, But never our hearts….
