Eva Lou Hanson, age 82, passed away on May 10th, 2023. Eva Lou was born March 5th, 1941 to Louis and Evelyn Edwards in Bountiful Utah. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 1959. She was a very proud mother & she is survived by 7 sons, by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She married her precious husband, Jack O Hanson, April 30th, 1971, and later sealed in the Manti temple for time and all eternity. She and Jack lived happily in their "sweet little nest, somewhere in the west" in Pagosa Springs, CO for many years before moving to Mesa, AZ, where they served in the church and in the Mesa temple as ordinance workers.
Eva Lou was a lifetime member of the LDS church, served a mission on Temple Square with her sweetheart, held many callings, and served her local community. She was creative and a thoughtful friend to everyone. Eva Lou always looked on the bright side of life, and encouraged others to do so as well. She was an avid world traveler, and was always up for adventure. She was fortunate to be able to live out her golden years in her childhood home in Bountiful, the city she loved. Some of the funny things that remind us of Eva Lou is her love of Pepsi, wacky earrings, nesting dolls, bird houses, Breath Savers mints, and Chuck-A-Rama.
She was loved and will be missed by all. Her family wants to recognize all of the friends, neighbors, and medical professionals who made her life comfortable and happy. Thank you!
