Evelyn Bendall

March 31, 1927 — January 17, 2013

Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and friend passed away on January 17th, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn Hastings Bendall was born March 31, 1927 to Stella Jones Hastings and Golden D. Hastings. Evelyn graduated from Price High School and then from BYU with a degree in Elementary Education. She married John (Jack) Richards Bendall on Aug. 29, 1950 in the Logan Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many callings and capacities. She was a long time resident of Bountiful, Utah.
Evelyn was a First and Second grade teacher for 35 years at Hannah Holbrook Elementary in Bountiful Utah and enjoyed working with the children she loved so much. She and John traveled the world together and enjoyed boating with their family.
Evelyn is survived by her three children: R. Evan Bendall (Dianna) of Kuna, Idaho; J. Lynn Bendall (Karen) of Fruit Heights, Utah; and Susan Bendall Wagner (Mark) of Syracuse, Utah. Her sister, Lois Hastings Feitz (Dave) of Orem, Utah and her sister in law, Jean Bendall Wilcoxson (Floyd) of Mt. Lake Terrace, WA. Eight grandchildren, Richard Evan (Yess) Bendall, Ian Bendall, Danielle Bendall, McKenna Bendall, Katherine Bendall (Brett) Solum, Eric Bendall, Rachel Wagner, John Wagner. Great grandchildren, Tristan Parker, Emma Solum, C. J. Hoffman.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, two brother in laws, and many other family and friends.
Evelyn has finally been reunited with her sweet husband, she has been missing him for 14 years. We love you both dearly and will miss you forever, and hope you can now rest in peace.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Heritage Park center and Inspiration Hospice for their love and care of our mother.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 N. Main where friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
