Evelyn Edwards

Evelyn Harrison Edwards, age 93, passed away November 27, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah. Evelyn was born April 28, 1916 in Centerville, Utah and was the daughter of Lavena Schofield and Vestal Flint Harrison. Growing up in Centerville she loved that small town and all the people that were friends and neighbors. She graduated from Davis High School. Evelyn married Lewis Edwards, later divorced and they had three children, Ron deceased, Eva Lou Hanson, and Denny Kate. She worked for and retired from Hill Air Force Base after 27 years. Her loves were dancing, bowling, puzzles and trips to Wendover. She was a member of the LDS Church and had many dear friends in her Ward. We are sad to see her go, but are grateful that she is finally free of pain. Family and friends give special thanks to the wonderful people from Legacy Hospice, especially Lindsay, Rebecca, Jodi and Marie. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother, and son. She is survived by her daughter, Eva Lou Hanson; son, Denny Kate; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Centerville City Cemetery, 650 East 400 South. A visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, prior to services. Please no plants or flowers. It would be great if donations were given to the Food Bank or any other charity.
