Salt Lake City, UT – Evelyn Ellertson Quilter was born on June 25, 1923 to Ole and Mattie Ellertson. She returned home to her Heavenly Father on August 24, 2013 peacefully at the age of 90. She was married to Colon Best and had seven children. She later married Glen Atherly Quilter and was sealed to him in the Manti Temple on March 1, 1980. She had four step-children with Glen. Evelyn was a faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many auxiliaries. She will be remembered for her tremendous passion and dedication to her genealogy and temple work. She served a full time mission with her husband Glen at Martha’s Vineyard as genealogists, 1993-1994. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Quilter and two step-sons, Woodruff Quilter and Carl Quilter. She is survived by her seven children, Stanley (Rosemary) Best, Perry (Jeri) Best, Jayne Best Davis, Karen Best Wright, Nancy (Kendall) Kelly, Benjamin Best, and Suzie (Steve) Benvegnu and two step-children, Katherine (Wayne) Woolf and Paul Quilter. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Cottonwood Stake Center, 1250 E. Murray Holladay Road, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends and family are invited to meet at 10:00. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery, 26 W. 600 N., American Fork. Online guest book available at www.russonmortuary.com
