Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Evelyn Shingleton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2004 of natural causes five days before her 85th birthday. Evelyn was born November 19, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fred and Vera Johnson. She married H. Richard Shingleton on July 3, 1941. She graduated from West High School in 1937. In October 1941, she was transferred with her husband to Santa Anita, CA. She obtained a position as U.S. Army record keeper. She transferred back to Salt Lake in 1943. Evelyn enjoyed family vacations to many historical sites, resorts, and gardens in the USA and Canada. She loved going to movies, concerts, and the theater.
