Our beloved husband, son, brother, father and grandfather, Franklin Jeffrey Burleson, passed away on November 1, 2013, at the age of 57. His wife Michelle, was on a Pilgrimage with her mother and Jeff’s sister to the Holy Land in Jerusalem when news of his unexpected death was delivered. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Franklin and Velma Burleson.
Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle,”Shelly”, who he always referred to as his soul mate and the love of his life, his son, Michael, wife, Anna, grandsons, Caleb and Roman. His father, Franklin, and sister, Michelle Boehme, are thankfully still with us.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother, Velma Burleson, nephew, Zachary Boehme, Grandmother Margaret Bartholio, father in-law, John Hollingsworth, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff graduated from Granger High School, then became a proud member of the Navy. He received a Microsoft Certified Professional Systems Engineer degree from the Advanced Technical Center and completed many other courses at the University of Utah and other area colleges. He worked as a Machinist for Bard Access Systems and a Lan Administrator for the State of Utah. He was employed at the University of Utah Hospital, Health Information Center for the past several years.
Jeffrey studied and engaged in his love of astronomy. He spent many hours sharing his passion of astronomy, pointing out and discussing constellations with his wife in their evenings together. He also was a dedicated music aficionado. He enjoyed the intellectual challenge of puzzles and games of all kinds. Jeff was a wonderful, down to earth, loving and caring individual with a quick, dry sense of humor. Most importantly of all, Jeff had a deep foundational love of God, his devoted wife, his family and his adorable pets, Chee and Rebbie. All who knew him will miss his amazing spirit and sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, Russon Brothers, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, with a visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
No public viewing – Interment will be at: Founders’ Monument Mausoleum, Lakeview Memorial Park, Bountiful, Utah. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
