FALEICE WEBSTER FENN 1931-2011

Faleice Webster was born in Caliente, Nevada on August 26, 1931 to Danel R. Webster and Hulda Pollock Webster, the third of their three children. Faleice spent her childhood in Caliente. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1949.

After high school, Faleice moved to Salt Lake City to attend LDS Business College. There she met Jerry Duane Fenn. After graduating from LDS Business College she returned to Caliente and worked for Lincoln County as a secretary and Jerry followed her. She married Jerry on June 23, 1951 and they moved to Salt Lake where she worked for National Screen Service as a secretary and office manager.

Faleice and Jerry moved to Rose Park in 1954 where their three children – Jerry Jr., Steven Craig and Linda Ann were raised and graduated from West High School. She was proud of her children. Jerry is a regional vice president of CenturyLink; Steven is a teacher and coordinator in the Davis School District and Linda followed her mother and father as a long time employee of the Utah Department of Transportation. After her children were raised, Faleice worked for UDOT first as a secretary and then as a contracts officer for 15 years, where she was able to go on breaks and have lunch with her daughter Linda almost every day.

Faleice and Jerry learned the importance of service to God and to others. Faleice and Jerry were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Rose Park 10th Ward in the Rose Park Stake for over 40 years. On June 7, 1965, Faleice and Jerry and their three children were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Faleice served as a Relief Society President, Primary teacher and in many other callings over the years and supported her husband Jerry while he served as a member of the bishopric and later as bishop. Faleice and Jerry worked together for many years as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple, where Faleice was a also a shift supervisor. In 1999, Faleice and Jerry had an opportunity to serve a mission in the LDS Hong Kong Temple for 18 months. They loved this experience and even learned to speak rudimentary Cantonese. After completing their mission, they moved to St. George where they resided until her passing.

Faleice was a talented homemaker who made many beautiful quilts, including one for each of her grandchildren when they were born. Faleice was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her posterity felt her constant love and concern. Until her mind was ravaged by Alzheimer’s disease, she never forgot a birthday or anniversary.

Faleice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Keith J. Webster and her sister Velma Hope Webster McKnight. She is survived by her three children: Jerry D. Fenn Jr., (Sara), Steven Craig Fenn (Sherie) and Linda Fenn Stokes (Craig).
