Faye Evans Massey 82, of Farmington Utah, passed away peacefully while surrounded by many of her beloved family members on December 11, 2016. She was born on May 18, 1934 to Welling Morse Evans and Ella Lucinda Howard Evans in Pocatello, Idaho.
Faye lived most of her life in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area until after the love of her life passed away May 1, 2002. She then moved to Farmington, Utah to be closer to her daughters. Faye was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including Relief Society, Young Womens, and Primary. Her faith and testimony of the gospel remained true and strong through-out her life.
Faye had many talents that she shared with friends and family including, tole painting, crocheting, porcelain dolls and custom draperies. Faye was an excellent seamstress and loved working on a variety of crafts. Faye met her eternal sweetheart in the summer of 1952 and they were married on October 10, 1952. They made their home in Pocatello and Chubbuck where they raised their two daughters Debra Ann Massey and Teresa Faye Massey.
Faye loved her family and many family gathering and celebrations were held in her home.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Charles E. Massey, her Father, Mother, Brother Donald H. Evans and Sister-in-law Laura Evans, and Brother Jay H. Evans.
She is survived by her Daughter Debra Ann Massey (Farmington), Teresa Faye Massey (Farmington). Her Sister Nancy (Michael) Hirschi (Roy, Utah), Sister-in-law, Shirley Evans, two Granddaughters, ElliAnn Lucinda Massey and Lilo-Leilani Grace Massey (Farmington) and 2 foster Grandsons as well as numerous Nephews and Nieces.
A viewing/family gathering will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Farmington, UT on Friday December 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 17th at 2:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Ave., Pocatello, Idaho. There will be a viewing at the funeral home one hour prior to the services in Pocatello. The interment will follow at Mountainview Cemetery.
