Faye P. Shackelford

June 19, 1927 — January 23, 2020

Two weeks after entering the hospital with the flu, Faye went to be with her Heavenly Father for a glorious reunion with her Mom and Dad. She passed Thursday evening, January 23, 2020 at Jordan Valley Hospital.
Her love for her children and family was the most remarkable thing to witness. She touched everyone she met with her tender heart and loving personality.
Faye loved gardening. She had a beautiful flower garden that was featured in Better Homes and Garden. She loved her vegetable and fruit garden as well and would always can fruit and vegetables. She loved baking and cooking and was known for her pies, cinnamon rolls and shamrocks and could also make the best fudge.
She worked at Western Garden Center for over 30 years. She also loved sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Her songs and nursery rhymes will live on in our hearts forever. She also raised birds. She had over 1000 and oh how she loved animals, especially her dogs.
She was the oldest of 4 children born to Gordon and Elizabeth Pace. She was born in Bountiful where she remained her entire life.
She is survived by her 4 daughters: Kathie Gomez, Sharon Anderson (Denny), Darlene Maestas (Mike), Melanie Sanchez (Genaro); 1 son: Larrie Goff; brother, Arnold Pace and her sister, Dorothy Pratt; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles June Shackelford; parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Pace; brother, Ralph Pace; and grandson Andrew Goff.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 South Main Street, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Tuesday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the lds church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
