Fern Choules Cutler 1921-2009 Fern Cole Choules Cutler passed away peacefully on May 8, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Kaysville Utah. Fern was born on January 25, 1921 in Weiser, Idaho to Jacob Hill and Ellen Irene Cole Choules. She was the third of six children. She spent most of her youth in Clifton, Idaho were she graduated from Clifton High School. She married Leo Skidmore Cutler on November 22, 1939 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. She resided in Salt Lake for over 40 years and was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in many callings in Relief Society, MIA, Primary and as a temple ordinance worker. Some of her favorite years of service were with the Young Women in her ward and in the Grant Stake. She was loved by many and loved it when they would call her Ferness. Fern and her husband moved to Kaysville in 1987 where she served once again in the Young Women’s program. She and her husband served an LDS Mission in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, June 1988 to November 1989. On returning home, she served as Primary President in the Kaysville 4th ward and figured she was one of the oldest Primary Presidents in the Church at the age of 70. Fern is preceded in death by her husband, 5 siblings and a daughter, Kaleen Cutler Lauer Paul. She is survived by her children L. Kent Cutler Marilyn, Kirt J. Cutler Debbie, Kristin Cutler Summers Michael, Kerrie Cutler Obray Alan, and Kathi Cutler Allen Brent, 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary 1941 North Main Street Farmington, from 6-8 pm and at the Kaysville 4th ward chapel from 11:30-12:30 prior to the funeral. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Kaysville 4th ward, 875 East 200 North, Kaysville. Internment will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
