Floyd Myron Roundy returned peacefully to his Father in Heaven while in his home on September 12, 2024. His life was one of love and service in the name of his Heavenly Father. Floyd was born to Varsel Clair and Annie Roundy on December 17, 1950, the third of ten children. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anne Louise Roundy, his daughters TaLonnie (Ryan) Sullivan, Tiffany (Tyler) Rees, Monica (Aaron) Cowan, sons Anthony (Kimberly), and Andrew (Michelle), and his 20 beloved grandchildren.
He was an example of Christ’s light, love and peace to all who knew him. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission from 1969-1971. During this time he developed a deep love and respect for the Native American people whom he served. After his mission he attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University where he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. During his schooling, he also met Anne L. Andrus. They married in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 29, 1976.
Floyd and Anne raised their children in Centerville, Utah. Nearing the end of his working career, Floyd and Anne relocated to Great Falls, Montana where they spent a few wonderful years. Returning to Davis County and retiring, they have enjoyed their time and family while living in Farmington, Utah. They are grateful for the many wonderful friends and memories from their times in all these areas.
Floyd enjoyed all things outdoors, particularly camping and fishing. He spent many hours with his children and grandchildren sharing this love with them. Floyd loved sports, especially baseball, softball and soccer. He spent countless hours coaching and mentoring his children, grandchildren and many others. He always loved cheering them on from the sidelines. When he was not coaching or watching his grandchildren, Floyd often could be found watching his favorite western classics, and any sports programs or reruns on BYUtv. Floyd never lost his positive attitude and found joy at the small miracles that he was able to see each day. He often reminded his children and grandchildren of Christ’s love for them and taught them to make the most of each day they were given wherever they were in the world. Floyd will be greatly missed and remembered by all for his love of God, family and country.
