Frances Leatham Hatch age 77, passed away, peacefully, Thursday March 27th, 2017 at home with family. She was born June 21, 1939 in Rexburg Idaho to Bessie and Edwin Leatham.
Frances attended Madison High School where she was the head of The Girls Federation, while, also being very active in other organizations. She also attended Ricks College.
Frances Married Byron Hatch Sr. of Woods Cross Utah in 1963. They were married for 35 years before he passed away in 1998.
They had 3 children, Byron Jr deceased (Angela), DeAnna Willes (Mark) Lake Elsinore, and Don Hatch (Rebecca) Pleasant Grove. There are 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Jordon, Samantha, Elizabeth, Kennedy, and Cade.
Frances was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held many positions. In later years, she enjoyed attending the temple and was sealed to her husband, Byron Sr.
Frances had an in-home daycare for over 30 years where she treated the children as family. She made lifelong friends with them and their parents. Some of the children she watched kept in touch with her, invited her to their birthdays, weddings and special events. Some of them even brought their own children for her to care for. She saved and guided many children and parents.
Frances was Woods Cross Mother of the Year in 1988. She loved her flower and rock gardens.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, son Byron Jr., brother, 2 sisters and parents.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30, Saturday May 6th at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West Bountiful, Utah 84010.
