On Saturday, November 27th, 2021, Francis Paul Kern (Frank), loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 80.
Frank was born on February 19th, 1941, in Midland, Pennsylvania to Anna Brozic. He graduated from Midland High School in 1959. He worked for United Airlines for 34 years, from 1967-2001. He and his family have wonderful memories of traveling together. A family favorite was Maui, Hawaii.
Frank is survived by his wife Diane of 55 years, his 2 daughters Sheri (Randy) Hintze, Lisa (Todd) Bolen, his grandchildren Shaylee, Emmalee, Abbie, Ally, Jake, Lindsey, Kassidey, his 6 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Trey.
Frank was famous for his salsa and cucumber salad, made from vegetables grown in his garden. He was the original computer geek who also loved to fish, and the outdoors. His favorite place in the world was the cabin “down south” in Fremont, Utah, where he enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, and shooting.
Frank was a fantastic storyteller and loved to talk about his life experiences. He had a contagious laugh and a sparkle in his eye. He was the most caring, loving man we knew, and he will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah where a viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment- Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
