Francis L. Ferrin
1926 ~ 2015
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 4, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born the youngest of 4 children to Levi and Sarah Pead on August 22, 1926. She graduated from South High School and the LDS Business College.
Fran Married her “sweetheart” Keith L. Ferrin in 1944 and then their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1974. They were blessed with three children, Dennis (Barbara) Ferrin of Syracuse, Gary Ferrin (deceased), April (John) Booher of Centerville. Seven grandchildren and 22 great grand children, 10 great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She was a great cook and homemaker. Everything was always in it’s place. She loved crocheting, sewing and cross-stitch. She sewed over 600 baby nightgowns for the LDS Church Humanitarian Center. She kept a beautiful yard and loved flowers. She presided in her Bountiful home for 58 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with a strong testimony of the Gospel.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Keith (19 years ago), son, Gary, granddaughter Amy, great-grandson, Chase, her parents and three siblings.
She was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband with love and patience. She helped her children and their families in whatever they did and loved them and would sacrifice anything for them. She was always there in good times and in bad times.
There will be a viewing on Monday, December 7, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful from 6-8:00 p.m. and a viewing on Tuesday December 8th from 9-10:30 a.m. The graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com
