Frank Bradbury 1920-2010
Franklin Idaho Bradbury Sr. left this world for a better on Sunday, May 16, 2010. He was born on June 15, 1920 in Logan, Utah to Matilda Louise Burr and Henry Congdon Bradbury. He married Joy Dee Allgood on 18 Nov 1946 in Malad, Idaho. They were sealed shortly after on 13 Jun 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Frank & Joy spent 63 years together & raised their family in Salt Lake City and Bountiful. Frank’s testimony directed his many years of church service accepting every calling with gladness. Frank retired from the US Post Office in 1977 & later from NACorp. Frank & Joy owned & operated Brad’s Café for over 20 years. Their customers loved them. Their extended families have many memories of the gatherings held at the café. He loved to volunteer & spent over 50 years on the Days of ’47 Parade committee as Parade Starter. He & Joy loved to travel. They have visited every state in the US & many countries of the world. They served a mission on the island of Majuro, in the Marshall Islands. Frank’s big hugs will be missed by all that knew him. He taught his family to work hard, laugh & play hard & always do the right thing. His example will be carried on through his children, Frank Bradbury & Jane Layton, Robert Bradbury & Marsha Bountiful, Gerrie Bradbury Centerville, Jody Stromberg & Kurt Magna, Scott Bradbury & Julie Bountiful and his 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, May 19th, 6:00-8:00pm & Thursday morning 9:30-10:30am at the LDS chapel located at 600 East 1500 South in Bountiful. The funeral service will be held at this chapel on Thursday, May 20th at 11:00am. He will be buried at the Logan City Cemetery near his parents & many family members.
